“HaChotam publishing” (The Seal publishing) was founded in January 2001 as a non-profit organization.
The prime goal of HaChotam is to encourage believers to study the scriptures, to know God and to live their lives according to His word.
To serve this purpose, we publish magazines, books, music CD’s etc. and involve with other activities. All the material we produce is based on the scriptures and according to our principles of faith.
Our Magazines
"Me'et Le'et"
is a magazine for adults. Each edition contains 32 pages that offer a variety of subjects. Most editions contains at least one Theological article, one article about Faith and Science, one about Family living, one about Church life and “Hot topic” articles of general nature (such as jealousy, gossip, confidence of salvation and the like).
"Mashehu Acher"
is a magazine, which contains 16 pages for teenagers. Every edition supplies an introductory article to systematic Theology, an article about Faith and Science, a “Question and Answer” segment (a response to a troubling question a teen might have), an article about systematic studying of the scriptures and articles of general nature.
"Yaldei-Ya"
is a magazine for children, which contains 16 pages. Each one of our editions includes quizzes that encourage children to increase their knowledge of the bible, simple but important biblical facts and short articles about nature that demonstrate God’s Wisdom. In addition, each magazine dedicates one page to drawings we receive from children on a specific biblical topic. We also attach a verse poster in every edition and make sure that children who send answers to one of our quizzes receive a symbolic gift from “HaChotam”.
"Mashehu Mehashetach"
is a new magazine that it's first issue will be distributed by the end of October. This magazine contains 16 pages and is written by youth for the youth. It deals with daily issues and news from the body of Christ in Israel. It has articles about Christian organizations that operate in Israel, personal stories and testimonies, answers to "hard to understand" questions from the Bible, art and faith and more. The exciting thing is that we have the privilege to serve the youth but also to train and equip young people to serve, think and write Christian material in Hebrew. We pray and hope that God will raise from these youngsters the next generation of Christian publishers in Israel.
We also pray that God will provide all that we need to maintain this project as we started it with faith and trust that He will provide.
Each of those four magazines are issued quarterly and distributed free of charge.
Our Books
In addition to these, we publish books for adults, teens and children. Among the books for children you can find the book "Dinosaurs of Eden" by Ken Ham, "The Life of Jesus" by Carine MacKenzie, "The Big Book of Questions and Answers" by Sinclair Ferguson, the first ever devotional for children in Hebrew and more.
Among the books for youth and adults you can find "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan, "Name Above All Names" by Dan Hayden, "The Lie: Evolution" by Ken Ham and more. |
One of the most exciting projects was the production of "Pilgrim's Progress" in Hebrew. We produced a version for adults and one for children.
Our Music
In the last 10 years we produced some Music CDs. We made two CDs with original music that tell the story of Jesus from His birth until His return. These CDs are for children. The first CD called "The King is Born" and the second "The King is Alive".
In addition we produced a CD with Irit Ifert, a talented Christian singer where she openly exposes her struggles. This CD (Reflections) is excellent for teen girls.
Recently we produced the first Hymn CD in Hebrew! The CD contains 13 hymns including "How Great Thou Art", "Great is Thy Faithfulness", "Amazing Grace" and more. All the songs are in Hebrew with new modern arrangements.
Other projects
In the last five years we helped in the production of two Children's show. The first one was called "Heroes of Faith" and the second "Today as Yesterday". Both had drama, music, dance and multimedia. HaChotam did the music, decoration, writing of the script and any help needed.
Three months ago we produced the first ever Bible Trivia game in Hebrew that contains questions from the Old and New Testaments. We produced a version with cards for children and another set for adults. We pray that the trivia game will be a tool to enlarge the knowledge in the Bible.
The "Hot news" is the opening of "Yuval - Christian school of art" on October 4th. HaChotam alongside two other Christian organization established Yuval in order to teach the students to use God's gift for His Glory. The school works four days a week from noontime until 9PM. We teach there piano, guitar, painting and animation, drums, choir (for adults and children), violin, dance, drama and more. At the moment we have more than 120 students, from age 5 to 56!
We trust the Lord to provide us some instruments (such as piano), better facility (especially for the dancing class) and some equipment (such as DVD player and TV, projector etc.). It is exciting to see all these people – young and old - coming to learn how to use their talents for the Glory of the Giver.

A large portion of the material we publish is translated from English. We thank God for the productive co-operation of different organizations and publishers that have granted us the permission to translate their material into Hebrew. Those organizations are: Last Days Ministries, Banner of Truth, Sword and Trowel, Sola Scriptura, Zion’s Fire, Answers in Genesis, Free Church of Scotland and many more.

We pray for God’s blessing upon our work by serving and encouraging the body of Christ in Israel to grow and mature. We pray that every knee will bow before God’s great and exalted name and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the father.
